Wilmington, NC: Kim Hufham, President/CEO of the New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority (TDA), announced the 2023 appointments and officers to serve on the TDA Board of Directors. Appointments to the TDA Board are made by the New Hanover County Commissioners. Officers were elected at the TDA regular board meeting, held on March 29.
2023 Appointments to the New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority Board of Directors:
New Hanover County Commissioner LeAnn Pierce has been appointed to serve on the TDA Board as the New Hanover County Commissioner representative.
Wrightsville Beach Alderman Zeke Partin was appointed to the TDA Board to represent the Town of Wrightsville Beach.
Kure Beach Mayor Craig Bloszinsky, Carolina Beach Mayor Lynn Barbee and City of Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo continue to serve on the TDA Board as representatives of their municipalities.
Natalie English, President/CEO of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, was reappointed as the Chamber representative.
Michael (Hap) Fatzinger, Director of the N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher, was reappointed to represent New Hanover County Attractions.
Tom Ullring, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Carolina Beach Boardwalk, was reappointed to represent Carolina Beach Hotels.
2023 Officers of the New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority Board of Directors:
Nicole Jones, General Manager of Hilton Garden Inn, was re-elected to serve as Board Chair.
Tom Ullring, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Carolina Beach Boardwalk, was elected to serve as Board Vice-Chair.
Angela Rhodes, Co-Owner of Catch Modern Seafood Cuisine, was reelected to serve as Board Secretary.
Eric Credle, New Hanover County Finance Officer, will serve as Treasurer of the authority as directed by the enabling legislation (HB 1707).
The New Hanover County Tourism Development Authority (TDA), d/b/a Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau, markets and develops the county and its communities’ leisure and group travel experiences for economic growth and quality of place.
