Wilmington, NC: On May 16-19, travel industry partners in Wilmington and its island beaches will welcome back members of the NCAPPA (NC Association of Physical Plant Administrators) for the 2023 Conference, following a seven-year gap. This will be the second NCAPPA conference held in Wilmington at UNCW; the first was in 2016. 

Approximately 500 attendees are expected to attend NCAPPA 2023 Conference including members, exhibitors and guests, with events held at UNCW. This is an important conference as it is expected to be a breakout year coming out of COVID. Attendees will stay at a variety of hotels, including: Hampton Inn Wilmington – University Area, StayBridge Suites Wilmington-Wrightsville Beach, SpringHill Suites Wilmington/Mayfaire, Residence Inn by Marriott Landfall and Hampton Inn and Suites Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach. 

"NCAPPA is excited to be back on the coast,” states Tai Davis, CEFP, NCAPPA President 2022-2024. “We have several new initiatives that will be rolled out this year to include the Women in Facilities breakfast and the introduction of hands-on training. We also have a new service project structure that we worked on with UNCW that will become our new standard moving forward."

NCAPPA partners with several businesses in the area to include Highland Roofing, Brame Specialty Company Inc, Miracle Method of the Southeast and New Hanover County Schools to name a few.
