Fishing Report Gulf Stream Trolling 11-3-2016
I had Clark, Martin, Mark and John in from Atlanta and Tenn. for a day of gulf stream trolling. We had a decent ride out in light west winds. Started trolling and it didn't take long before the short rod start screaming with the 1st wahoo. Martin landed a decent 30 lber. We had good action all day went 3 for 5 on wahoo, jumped off a sail, a couple blackfin and ended the day with a couple nice scamp grouper. The highlight of the trip was the stud 68 lber Clark landed after a long battle. A fish of a life time.

Fishing Report Gulf Stream 6-11-2016
I had Frank,I had Frank, John, Brian, Matt and Quinten for a gulf stream trip. The weather and ride out was beautiful and we started in around 120 feet looking for some scamps but no current and only a couple shorts. Started running off shore and found a current line with some life and decided to troll. It didn't take long when the short rigger started screaming and Quinten landed a nice 22 lb wahoo. We had great action on decent mahi gaffers for a couple hours. Then we moved to some ledges to start jigging and fishing with bait. The 1st drift Frank landed a giant 25 lb gag on a jig. Then the next a 20 lb scamp. He caught 5 grouper in 5 drifts all on jigs. The guys using pinfish quickly switched over to jigs. We had good action on AJs and Almacocs also. The winds picked up in the afternoon and made the drifts tough. We trolled for the last hour and had another Mahi and Blackfin and missed a couple more. Had a long wet rough ride home in a hard SW wind but worth the pain with plenty of meat in the boxes.

Fishing Report Gulf Stream 3-27-2016
I had Frank, Luke, Ken, Quinten and David for a gulf stream trip on Easter Sunday. The ride out was OK but when we got to the break we were greeted with storms and rain. We started trolling and 1st trip over the ledge we had a double header of nice Blackfin. While fighting the tuna we had lighting in the storms so we had to move away. We fought the rain and storms for a while and decide to move in and try jigging. We had a few nice Ajs on the 1st drift. Then Frank landed the 1st African a nice 30 lber. We continued to work the area and landed 6 nice Africans and more AJs. Headed home in the rain and wind.

Deep Jigging 2-28-2016

I had Joey, Tetsu, and Johnny drive down from NY for a deep jigging trip. The weather man gave us a break on the way out and the water temps are still around 72 degrees at the break. The fish were hungry with lots of AJs to start then we finally found some Africans. The guys worked hard all day and had a few sharks. We landed some beautiful Africans to start the 2016 season. Then Joey landed the 1st Cobia of the year a nice 30 lber. Johnny landed his 1st African a fat 34 lber. At the end of the day we had 10 nice Africans, Cobia, AJs, Almacos and a 30 Jack Cravelle.

Fishing Report 01-02-2016

2016 Ready to Go Due to the mild winter so far the water temps at the stream are still in the 70s. Looking forward to the 2016 season and hope to have a great year with new adventures. I have been doing some upgrades to Live Line and new Gulf Stream trolling tackle. I am now using light weight 2 speed Penn SQUAL16VS loaded with 65 lb braid on Star Rods. I can't wait to hear the 1st wahoo streaming off line. Also have a new Hanta slow jig proto rod that is unreal. My Stella 10000s and Star Plasma jigging set ups are ready for another year of pain !Hoping to get off shore soon pictures and reports to follow.
